Intimate coffee shop on H St. Coffee originated in Ethiopia in an area called Kefa (Kefa = Coffee). Washington, DC has the largest Ethiopian community in the world outside of Ethiopia. On Sundays, they have an actual Ethiopian coffee ceremony which is a fascinating part of their culture. Coffee is good too.

This is the first Starbucks signing store in the US. (The only other one in the world is in Malaysia.) It's a deaf-friendly space just a few blocks from Gallaudet University which is recognized as first school for the advanced education of the deaf and hard of hearing in the world.
