Further along we have Combesgate Beach, which is made of fine golden sand like Woolacombe and is popular for swimmers and surfers. Combesgate is a lovely secluded beach located approximately 600 metres north of Woolacombe Beach.

Is a lovely secluded beach at the far east end of Woolacombe with rock pools ideal for children. The beach is only accessible between low and mid tide. Parking is above on the cliffs, there is steep steps down to the beach, so it may not be suitable for everyone.

Golden sand beach revealed at low tide. Explore around the rock formations and pools. Less crowded than Woolacombe main beach, great for surfing on the incoming tide.

Combesgate/Barricane beach. Beautiful! It's similar to the Cornish coves. The surf break only works at low tide, so make sure you check the tide times. Nearest surf rental is in Woolacombe.

Gorgeous beach at low tide, very sheltered with great rock pools and rock pooling sessions organised by the National Trust.
